Become a volunteer

If you know of some resources that will honestly help our survivors we would love to hear it! Our goal is to make a easily accessible document with resources listed... are you good with Microsoft Office? Volunteer your time to make the document. 

The hope here at Dee's Legacy is that this non-profit will reach numerous states. Even if it stays in NC we need trustworthy volunteers to manage their area when needed; this would include going to hotels to meet with escapee and pay for their room, picking up clothing or food donations &/or housing clothing or food donations, taking donations to those who need them, etc. 

The scariest experience is being uptown alone with the fear of your abuser seeing you, having children makes this 10x scarier. Someone just going to the store with a survivor or to court hearings makes all the difference. Abusers just seeing that the survivor has someone with them often time makes the abuser change their mind about approaching. If you would like to volunteer your free time to assist survivors when they go to court or the store please reach out. 

We have the biggest goal to help survivors move on with their lives in their own home after escaping, we would have a great need for people to help with moving. It would also help if you have a truck or SUV, if not we still could use the help.
